I have found that there are many ways that you can use the greenhouse. I like to keep the greenhouse all year long, because it helps me to enjoy the art of gardening all year long, but it also has become my sanctuary. I built a nice greenhouse garden by starting with herbs. Herbs are amazing because they are attractive, but they also bring many scents into the air. I find that herbs have helped me build my greenhouse, because they are mostly easy to grow and take well to a greenhouse situation, so it helped me expand my interests to produce fruits and vegetables, but I also have some flowers that I truly enjoy all year long. Of course, you will find your own starting point, but you should consider working with herbs since they are very successful in the greenhouse environment.

I have found that tomatoes grow so well in the greenhouse. I think that tomatoes grow better when in the greenhouse rather than when they are in an outdoor garden. This is because I can control everything. I can control the temperature, the watering, the sunlight, more. I can take more an active role in the life of my plants. Tomatoes work so well, that I have even begun to use the greenhouse for canning. My wife likes to have fresh sauce all year long, and she does when she cans the fresh tomatoes from the greenhouse. I also find that tomatoes need less “food” when in a greenhouse setting. I plant in topsoil, so it gives a lot of nutrients to the plants. Tomatoes are a great addition to any greenhouse garden.
